Since 2015, the Hystrio Award has hosted the Mariangela Melato Award for young actors; this year, the award will be presented to Alessandro Bandini and Leda Kreider.
Alessandro Bandini, who we will soon see in Dittico della bufera directed by Carmelo Rifici, is the creator, playwright and author of PER SEMPRE, a LAC production that brings to the stage the poignant love story between Giovanni Testori and art dealer Alain Toubas. Co-produced by Piccolo Teatro di Milano, CTB Centro Teatrale Bresciano, Emilia Romagna Teatro ERT Teatro Nazionale, PER SEMPRE will premiere in Lugano on Wednesday 22 October (with repeat performances on 23 and 24 October).
Leda Kreider plays Cathrine in Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams, a LAC production that premiered on 28 April, directed by Stefano Cordella. Co-produced by the Teatro Carcano in Milan, the show will be restaged during the 25-26 season for a long international tour.
The awards will be presented on Sunday 21 September, during the final evening of the Hystrio Festival, which will take place at the Teatro Elfo Puccini in Milan.
