Archipelago is a theatrical installation where the protagonists are children, who undertake a symbolic journey through an imaginary landscape of islands and silences. Through subtle metaphors, the little explorers can orient themselves, find themselves and recognise parts of themselves. A path designed to help them give shape and voice to emotions and experiences - personal or shared - that have left a trace in their inner world.

Arcipelago is an installation conceived as a path of human and sentimental education, in which children are invited to explore a large space waiting to be discovered: a luminous archipelago of islands - small curtains of light - that guard mysterious worlds, suspended in a gentle sea, whose waves can even be heard. The little “explorers” are welcomed in an initial room with simple directions to follow - listen, look, feel, tell - that prepare them to immerse themselves in the experience. Then, one by one, they enter a large, dark room, lit only by a small archipelago. Each island, ready to welcome one castaway at a time, holds a question or an invitation and a unique experience: sometimes tactile and multi-sensory, others to be lived in silence, letting images and perceptions awaken thoughts, emotions and stories. After each stop, the little sailors continue on to another island, composing a personal emotional diary. The journey ends in a final area, with a moment of symbolic sharing and restitution.

Founded on 8 December 1979 when it staged The Little Prince, under the direction of Angelo Pennacchio, Teatro Telaio was able to distinguish itself from the numerous companies that sprung up in those same years of strong political, social and cultural commitment, becoming a true piece of theatre history in the city of Brescia.
After a series of shows ascribable to the “third theatre” strand, and the organisation of reviews and festivals of international importance, including the Brescia section of Sonavan... le vie d'intorno, since 1987 the focus has shifted towards activities aimed mainly at minors and families, with the awareness and conviction that children's theatre is not a simple and less demanding form of entertainment, but requires perhaps even greater sensitivity than theatre aimed at adult audiences.
Since 1991 it has been distributing children's theatre shows of its own production throughout Italy and abroad, participating in numerous prestigious festivals.
In the sphere of Italian children's theatre, Il Telaio stands out for its preference for poetic and surreal aspects, even when dealing with purely didactic themes.
