An altogether new theatrical journey in which Gioele Dix draws his inspiration from the atmosphere and characters in the works of Dino Buzzati while (also) talking about himself, his own worries, and comic irritations with his trademark irony and love of the paradoxical. He shares the stage with Valentina Cardinali, a talented and versatile young actress.

At the foot of a building where a famous writer lives, late one night a tiny ball of paper falls from a window. What does it contain? Unremarkable notes or immortal verses that need to be saved? From this intriguing premise, taken from a story by Dino Buzzati, Gioele Dix, a versatile writer and brilliant actor, creates and interprets this new performance.
Set in a sort of literary laboratory, halfway between a print shop and a warehouse for memories, the performance draws on the incredible treasure chest of Buzzati’s stories including the celebrated collections Sessanta racconti, Il colombre and In quel preciso momento, and assembles a mosaic of characters and human occurrences in which each of us can find traces of ourselves.
Writer, journalist and painter, Dino Buzzati was a man of many talents, but most of all he was a penetrating observer of human souls. His writing which is both realistic and phantastic always gets straight to the point, while never neglecting the eternal state of suspension that characterizes our existence; through his narrative gift, our fears, dreams and phantasies take on a poetic form.
