LOVETRAIN2020 is one of the most acclaimed works of the Israeli choreographer Emanuel Gat: a contemporary "musical" that explores the expressive and emotional possibilities of the intertwining of musical and choreographic structures through the hits of one of the cult bands of the eighties, Tears For Fears.

Among the most accomplished choreographers of his generation, Emanuel Gat continues his long exploration of the meeting points between various aspects: choreographic and musical, visual and  auditory, and of the potential they offer us for observation, study and story-telling. LOVETRAIN2020 is a choreographed ode to the sound and vibes of the 80s embodied in the beautiful music of the British duo Tears for Fears – famous for Mad World, Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule The World, Change, Sowing The Seeds Of Love and many other incredible successes of that glorious decade.
The show takes place in a space full of references, counterpoints and infinite possibilities, where movement and sound interact to reveal once again, and from a different angle, the evident but almost transparent layers in which people meet, move apart, push and pull and question each other, making their own decisions and moving on.
On stage, in a real explosion of energy, the dancers of the Emanuel Gat Dance company dive into the utopian drive of an era to explore the interweaving of dance and pop music.
LOVETRAIN2020 was awarded the prize for the best dance show of the 2020/21 season by the French Professional Union of Theatre, Music and Dance Critics.
