Returning to the LAC is the experiential theatre project in which audiences, through the use of Immersive Virtual Reality, can, like Dante, journey into the afterlife and come into contact with the other world (which is both the world of the dead and that of immersive virtual reality): a truly introspective experience into the depths of the self.

Dante wrote the inferno while suffering the pain and estrangement of exile. Far from home, and burdened by injustice it was precisely at this moment in his writing and in his life that he was able to rise above his plight and conquer a new equilibrium with the world, attain a new state of consciousness. Dante then realized that he could create a new world, one that was a mirror image of this world and connected with it, a place where the ego could directly undergo evolution and transformation, a world which gave birth to modern literature.
In the same way, Immersive Virtual Reality brings audiences into contact with the possibility that there is an “elsewhere””, a fantasy world, one which isn’t an alternative, disassociated from reality but which is connected with it - since the fantastic and the virtual are much more deeply part of reality than we would believe.
