The young Alessandro Bandini gives voice and body to the poignant and mysterious love story between the Italian writer, playwright, director and painter Giovanni Testori and the French art dealer and gallery owner Alain Toubas. PER SEMPRE is a show about the need to feel unconditionally loved and about pain, a visceral request to be able to love, a cry not to be forgotten.
The dense correspondence between Testori and his beloved Toubas, made up of letters written in French - which have never been translated, transcribed or published to date -, drawings and postcards, sheds light on an overflowing and at times blackmailing love, a disarming and unprecedented humanity, a side of the writer from Novate Milanese unknown to most that offers the possibility of rereading part of his work with a new, original and contemporary look.
The fulcrum of this work is the total confrontation, hand to hand, with Testori's word, a word that, deeply embodied in whoever pronounces it, is transformed into the interminable struggle of a human being in the face of his own fears.
