Sala 4

A workshop to immerse yourself in film music and discover its power!

A soundtrack can completely change the meaning of a scene. It can excite, surprise, twist the meaning of images. It is a fundamental part of every film, often invisible but always present.

In this workshop, participants will explore the world of film music from scratch. After an initial introduction, they will have the opportunity to use musical instruments, synthesizers, iPads and other technologies to compose-along with director and composer Gioacchino Balistreri-a true original soundtrack for a film scene.

During the course there will also be live performances by Gioacchino Balistreri, who will soundtrack live some sequences from the history of cinema, using the same instruments made available to the participants.

An opportunity to approach music from a different, creative and concrete perspective. You will never see a movie with the same eyes again!
