Cultural mediation is an important field of activity in cultural centres: from large museums, theatres and auditoriums to small regional venues. Born with the aim of making the contents of artistic proposals accessible, in particular to the youngest, over the years it has had a great development, expanding its objectives and audiences, to propose an educational and participatory experience, thanks to the arts.
Since 2015 LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura has consolidated the Mediation Sector, making it one of the pillars of the cultural centre, in particular through the LAC edu project, thanks to the support of the partner UBS. Transversality of the artistic disciplines, innovation, quality and accessibility are the cornerstones of this sector, which over the years has been able to win the trust of the public, involving more than 100'000 participants with interactive concerts, workshops, guided tours, creative ateliers, lectures, didactic and experiential shows, readings, installations and many other forms of interaction with the public.
