The nearest SBB stations are Lugano and Paradiso.

The nearest bus stop is “Piazza Luini” – TPL Lines 1 and 4.

In front of the LAC parking garage ticket booths, next to the Luini6 bistro in Piazza Luini, there are bike racks where you can park your bike.

The nearest PubliBike station is “Arte e Cultura LAC” at Riva Antonio Caccia 1.

The LAC has a parking garage, “LAC – Centro Sud,” accessible from Riva Vincenzo Vela.

To avoid using the automated pay stations, you can use the ParkingPay app, which allows for automatic entry and exit, or scan the QR code on your ticket and pay directly via smartphone using TWINT, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or ParkingPay.

In the Theater Hall, there are six seats reserved for people with disabilities or mobility challenges, each accompanied by a seat for a companion.

Seat Selection on the Floor
Plan: You can directly select available seats on the floor plan. For some events, this selection method may not be available.

Best Seat
Reservation: With the “best seat” option, you select the category and the number of tickets you want. The system automatically assigns the best available seats within the selected category. For numbered seats, the system attempts to assign adjacent seats, subject to availability.

Selecting Unnumbered
Seats For events with unnumbered seats, seats are not assigned at the time of purchase. Upon entry, please follow the instructions of the ushering staff.

Waiting
List A waiting list is available for sold-out shows. Signing up does not constitute a reservation and does not guarantee that you will receive a ticket. If tickets become available, you will receive an email. Everyone on the waiting list is notified at the same time, with no priority order.

Reduced-Price Tickets and Discount
Codes Reduced-price tickets are available for certain performances, such as for children, students, young adults, or other eligible groups. Available discounts are indicated during the purchase process.
If you have a discount code, you must enter it in the designated field after selecting your seats and logging into your account, before proceeding to payment.
Discounts and reductions cannot be applied retroactively to tickets that have already been purchased.

The ticket serves as admission to the indicated performance and must be presented to the staff at the entrance. 

Purchased tickets cannot be canceled or exchanged, except in cases expressly provided for. 

Tickets are valid only for the date and event indicated. If there are multiple performances of the same show, you may request a date change at the box office, subject to availability, for an administrative fee of CHF 5.– per ticket. 

If a ticket is lost, the box office can issue a replacement ticket.

Holders of discounted tickets must be able to present, upon request, a document proving eligibility for the discount. If the required criteria are not met, the difference between the discounted and full price must be paid. 

The ticket must be retained for the entire duration of the performance and presented to the theater staff upon request. 

The LAC and the organizers reserve the right to cancel a performance, replace it, change its start time, or make changes to the cast, even after advance ticket sales have begun.

Changes to the cast or the show’s start time do not entitle the holder to a ticket refund.
In the event of a cancellation, the ticket price will initially be refunded in the form of a credit voucher for the same amount. Upon the customer’s explicit request, sent to [email protected], a cash refund may be requested; this is typically processed using the same payment method used for the purchase.
In the event of a postponement, tickets generally remain valid for the new date. If the customer is unable to attend on the new date, the same refund procedures apply as in the case of a cancellation.
A refund in the event of an interruption of the performance is granted only if the interruption occurs before the first intermission or, for performances without an intermission, before the halfway point of the scheduled duration.

Only the ticket price will be refunded. Any additional expenses or damages incurred by the customer will not be reimbursed.

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the announcement of the cancellation or postponement.

Gift certificates can be used for LAC theater, dance, and music performances, concerts by the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, and admission to exhibitions at MASI Lugano. Any restrictions regarding specific performances or organizers will be clearly indicated on the gift certificate at the time of purchase. 

Valid for two years from the date of issue and non-refundable, gift certificates can be easily redeemed at the box office, by phone, or online. 

With the “suspended ticket” program, the public can help provide a cultural experience for individuals and families facing financial hardship.

You can make a donation when purchasing tickets online or directly at the LAC box office. The suggested amount is CHF 5, but everyone is free to choose the amount they prefer.

The LAC participates in AG Cultura, a subscription program that promotes cultural engagement among young people under the age of 26. With a single annual pass, available for 100 francs, young people can enjoy free and unlimited access to cultural events offered by partner organizations. Information and subscription details are available on the official website .
With AG Cultura, you can attend a selection of LAC performances and concerts. To reserve a seat, you must go to the box office with your pass.

Admission to the Auditorium
: The public is asked to arrive well in advance. Once the performance has begun, admission to the auditorium is not always guaranteed and is subject to the instructions of the ushering staff, who are responsible for enforcing the guidelines established by the company, the orchestra, or the production.
If admission is permitted after the performance has begun, there is no guarantee that you will be able to immediately take the seat indicated on your ticket. If, at the production’s discretion, admission to the auditorium cannot be authorized, denial of entry does not entitle you to a refund of your ticket.

Photos, Videos, and Recordings
: As a general rule, photographing, filming, or recording performances is not permitted, unless otherwise indicated. Audience members are invited to take photographs or make brief video recordings at the end of the performance, during the applause.

Cell Phones in the Auditorium
During the performance, cell phones must be set to silent mode and screens must remain turned off so as not to disturb the audience and the performers.

For shows and concerts in the Theater Hall, the secure coat check service will be free starting with the 2026/27 season.
