On the occasion of the screening of Psycho with the soundtrack performed live by the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, Giona Nazzaro - artistic director of the Locarno Film Festival - will meet the audience in an introductory dialogue dedicated to the film and its imagery.

The appointment will offer a look at Alfred Hitchcock's rich relationship between directing, storytelling and typical suspense building, highlighting how Psycho redefined the language of the psychological thriller with a modernity that continues to influence filmmakers and viewers alike. Bernard Herrmann's score, performed live in its entirety, remains one of the most iconic examples of a film score, capable of transforming the link between image and music into a decisive element of the narrative.
