Io, tu e l’OSI: suonate insieme a noi!

Do you dream of playing on stage at the LAC with the musicians of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana? Then get involved and visit the OSI website now! Until Monday 31 October, registration is open for the great project Me, you and the OSI.

We are looking for non-professional musicians of all ages, who have been playing for at least four years, from all over Italian-speaking Switzerland (from grandparents to grandchildren, from those who work or study to those who are retired), playing all instruments (from strings to wind instruments, from woodwinds to percussion) to join the Professors of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana in forming a symphony orchestra that will perform at the LAC in early June 2024 in two concerts conducted by Maestro Philippe Béran.

The OSI musicians are ready to help everyone on a journey of growth and rehearsals with great music that will last for months, from February 2024 until the two concerts in June, featuring the most beautiful pieces from the classical music repertoire.

By the end of November, the musicians who will play with the OSI will be selected on the basis of the material submitted (full details can be found on the application form). In December, those selected will receive their respective parts so that they can prepare for section and ensemble rehearsals with the OSI musicians, which will begin in February 2024.

The first 50 registrants will receive a ticket to an OSI concert at LAC, just to get them in the mood... Don't wait any longer to make your dream come true!

Me, You and the OSI is organised in collaboration with LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura as part of LAC edu and is one of the highlights of be connected, the OSI's innovative project designed to break down the barriers that sometimes arise in relation to classical music and to spread the Orchestra's identity beyond the spaces where we are usually accustomed to seeing it.
