Lorena Dozio signs the conception and choreography of this work realised thanks to the productive support of the LAC, which hosted the work in residence. With Dazzle, interpreted by Caterina Basso, a dancer with a solid background, Dozio questions invisibility as performative action, deriving the starting point for her reflection from texts by Georges Didi-Hubermann.
The verb dazzle,' said Dozio, 'literally means to dazzle and derives from the American expression razzle - dazzle, which expresses the active attempt to confuse ideas. The same expression gave its name to a military camouflage technique: the dazzle mode consisting of irregular geometric shapes composed of colour contrasts such as black and white, was particularly used for warships.
