Japanese pianist Hiromi Uehara returns to Ticino with her trio for a concert that blends jazz, rock, fusion and classical music. One of the most original figures on the contemporary scene, she combines virtuosity with expressive freedom in performances brimming with energy.

With her trio – piano, bass and drums – Hiromi brings a project to the LAC that reflects her unmistakable musical perspective. An internationally renowned pianist and composer, she is known for her extraordinary technique, the intensity of her live performances and her ability to traverse different genres without hierarchy, creating a dialogue between jazz, rock, fusion and classical music.
From the very beginning, her music has developed as a space where composition and improvisation coexist fluidly, giving rise to dynamic and ever-changing structures. The trio represents one of the most direct formations in terms of this approach: an essential setting in which the interaction between the musicians is decisive and the sound is constructed in real time.
The result is music that alternates between rhythmic complexity and immediate momentum, capable of shifting from moments of great density to more ethereal passages. Hiromi’s live performances are distinguished by their energy and precision, offering the audience an immersive listening experience.
