Cuna – an archaic word for ‘cradle’ – is an immersive performance combining contemporary dance and live music, created and performed by the blind dancer and choreographer Giuseppe Comuniello. On stage, a universe of sensations takes shape from the darkness.

Active on the international stage alongside numerous leading figures in the dance world, including the Compagnia Virgilio Sieni, Giuseppe Comuniello leads the audience into a past where the world was made up of sounds and vibrations, inviting them to immerse themselves in a dreamlike dimension: gestures and movements give rise to an ephemeral imagery. You can choose your proximity or distance, your own way of being involved. The dance, the sound of the harp, the scent, the soft light, time standing still, the seating: everything comes together to form a welcoming landscape.
Cuna is a sensory experience in which one is free to let go, where public space becomes a refuge, a respite, a place of trust. Here, one experiences being lulled. And one’s breathing, little by little, becomes one with the others.
