Cuna – an archaic word for ‘cradle’ – is an immersive performance combining contemporary dance and live music, created and performed by the blind dancer Giuseppe Comunielo. On stage, a universe of sensations takes shape from the darkness.
A return to a time when the world was a wave of sounds and vibrations. The audience is invited to enter a dreamlike dimension: gestures and movements give rise to an ephemeral imagery. One may choose closeness or distance, one’s own way of being involved. The dance, the sound of the harp, the scent, the soft light, time suspended, the seating: everything comes together as a welcoming landscape.
Cuna is a sensory experience in which one is free to let go, where public space becomes a refuge, a respite, a place of trust. Here, the rocking is experienced. And the breath, little by little, becomes shared.
