An immersive experience that dissolves the boundaries between stage and audience, form and matter, sound and silence. Conceived by Lisa Lurati and Tatum Rush, Wanderer is an interdisciplinary creation that transforms the theatre into a fluid landscape, a hybrid place where the spectator is called upon to become an active part of a sensory and performative journey. An invitation to lose your bearings and rediscover the wonder of wandering.
The Wanderer project stems from the idea of the artist as a contemporary nomad, an explorer who traverses geographies and languages in search of new forms of expression. The stage design abandons the classical frontal arrangement, creating a shared environment for performers, musicians and audience, where sound, image and gesture intertwine in a non-linear dramaturgy. At the centre of the reflection is movement: travel as a state of being, the migration of ideas and cultures, the oscillation between reality and imagination. The visual imagery, curated by Lisa Lurati, is inspired by rock art and animist cosmology. The music – composed and performed live by Domi Chansorn, Robin Girod and Tatum Rush – draws on nomadic musical traditions, free jazz and electronic experimentation, while Francesco Fonassi's sound design creates an immersive sound ecosystem. Directed by Lara Dâmaso, the performance dissolves the separation between actor and spectator, inviting the audience to discover a world in constant transformation.
