An immersive experience combining visual art, improvised music, performance, sound and light design. Conceived by Lisa Lurati and Giordano Rush, Wanderer is an ephemeral inhabitable space that hosts an intimate encounter between the work and the audience.
Wanderer is an invitation to become so — a timeless, free figure who rejects a single center and fixed identity, who moves through and is moved by the plurality of the world, who transforms without dominating, who embraces unpredictability as a creative force. It is not the one who moves, but the one who inhabits the movement. To wander is not to get lost, but to align oneself with a sacred orientation, with one’s own axis mundi.
The work opens a space where the intimate encounter between audience and musicians/performers invites, at its center, the manifestation of the genius loci, an unknown force that fertilizes imaginaries. Wanderer is a poetic super-organism that develops its dramaturgy through the presence of the bodies that inhabit it. A microcosm made of instruments, images and gestures, interwoven into the fabric of a flying carpet. A journey that suspends distances and temporalities, through an archipelago of possible spaces.
