Sunday mornings come alive at LAC with musical matinées: engaging appointments designed for audiences of all ages.

Once or twice a month, the Hall comes alive with brilliant performances by students of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana and exceptional guests, transforming itself into a living space for sharing, listening and discovery.

What we want is to bring the public closer to classical music, offering moments of quality that are accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of musical preparation. All connoisseurs and curious people are welcome.
Each meeting is enriched by brief introductions and insights into the pieces on the program and the featured musicians.

New Voices
Since its founding by Giorgio Bernasconi, the 900presente season has had as one of its primary goals to give young musicians and singers the opportunity to perform in an important context, confronting them with new and challenging repertoires; as part of the 2025/26 season, this opportunity is also offered to young conductors and composers. The project, significantly titled "New Voices," takes the form of a creative and experimental space: four emerging composers are asked to write as many new pieces, each for a different instrumental ensemble inspired by important formations from the twentieth-century repertoire. The instrumental ensemble will be directed by two alumni of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana just as alumni and alumnae will be the four composers involved, confirming the desire to cultivate excellence during and beyond the academic course. Among the new creations, one composition will also feature a soloist - once again a student - testifying to a virtuous circle that develops between training and profession, the engine of which is creativity.
