If we had to choose the freest and most informal space at LAC, this would be it. Both because it is perfectly unfurnished and because here artists have full autonomy to rehearse performances before staging them, experimenting, assembling and testing new sets and numbers. It is also an alternative stage for small theatre companies and is often chosen for events requiring freedom of movement or a special setting, enhanced by the underground atmosphere of this space, with its rough concrete and wooden walls. In short, it is a naked version of the LAC, restored to its essentials as a meeting point and artistic creation.
