Sergi pedals relentlessly on an exercise bike, to the seductive rhythm of house-merengue. This euphoric music encourages him, in joy
— but also in pain — to push himself further. In any case, he has no choice. Chained to his bike, he is forbidden to stop. Following in the footsteps of *El Pacto del Olvido*, presented in 2025 at FIT, this time the Spanish artist tackles the insidious neo-capitalist imperative summed up by the slogan “Produce! Have fun! Improve Yourself and Smile!”
An unattainable program that breeds chronic dissatisfaction.
An ironic and invigorating performance that invites us to imagine ways out of the cycle of productivity—including through poetic and utopian strategies—in which unbridled individualism is replaced by collective and liberating solutions.
