Swiss choreographer Yasmine Hugonnet conceived and choreographed Our Times, a work that invites a shared presence: the three performers lead the audience into the heart of a vibrant space, where flows of energy, rhythm and space circulate between beings and within bodies.

The second chapter of a research project launched in 2025 with 1000&1 BPM _ Odyssée, aimed at introducing pulsation and immediacy into the choreographic writing process, Our Times invites us to perceive dance through a play of sensations and planes – distant, close, concealed. On stage, the three performers together sustain fragile space-time structures that depend on their mutual listening. They are constantly in relation, in a continuous process of accompanying, supporting and being present for one another.
From this abstract composition emerge intense and intimate dance spaces, in which the physical commitment and attention required, along with the vigilance and care directed towards others, allow access to a sensitive world where one simultaneously feels the vulnerability and the power of being together.
The performance is conceived as an autonomous and flexible choreographic device, capable of being staged even in non-theatrical spaces. Designed to engage in dialogue with dance and silence, the music is created live by Michael Nick: the means of sound production are determined by the vibration of the bodies in relation to one another and by the energy that settles within the space.

THE BAYS
Like the ebb and flow of the water, dance shapes the relationship between what is near and the horizon, an invitation to a shared presence with the audience.
THE ROSETTE
One enters the central space through a walking pattern traced by the figure-eight sign of infinity. The dance invites a gradual acceleration that stretches and puts the collective balance at risk.
THE WAVES
Connected by a three-loop wave that passes through their bodies, the performers unfold their collective intelligence to sustain the wave’s becoming and untangle dead ends.
THE CENTRE
At the centre, a beat emerges — of the heart or of the metronome. How can one remain free to invent one’s
own rhythmic melody, preserving one’s breath and vital energy in the face of measured time?
THE TRIANGLES
The movement of the dancers depends on a particular triangulation that generates crossings, convergences and distances along their path. The possibility of playing with the timing of the “just before”, the “shift” or the “echo” allows new events to emerge.
