There are six parking spaces for people with disabilities on Level -2 of the LAC parking garage.
The maximum height in the parking garage is 2.10 meters.
You can access Piazza Luini by taking the elevator.

Upon prior notice, a van transporting a group of people with mobility issues or disabilities may pull over briefly in the plaza in front of the LAC, near the entrance.

The Piazza Bernardino Luini stop (Lines 1 and 4) is the closest to the cultural center.

Access to the square involves eight steps and is equipped with a handrail. On the left side of the square, there is a ramp providing access to the cultural center.  

Next to the elevators, which lead to the parking garage, there is a ramp that provides easy access to the LAC. The entrance has two main doors that open outward.

In the lobby, in front of the ticket office, there are two elevators leading to the upper floors. The buttons feature raised lettering and Braille (Theater Hall, Halls 1, 2, 3, 4, Mezzanine, Agora).

The exhibition halls, located on floors 1 and 2 and on level –2 of MASI Lugano, are accessible via an elevator that can be reached from the Luini 6 Restaurant. 

The ticket office is located in the lobby on the right side.

The entrance to MASI Lugano is located on the left side of the cultural center and can be accessed from the lobby.

The exhibition halls on the 1st and 2nd floors can be reached either by escalator or by the elevator next to the Luini 6 Restaurant. The hall on the -2 floor can be reached by going down two flights of stairs or by elevator.

The restrooms are located on the left side of the lobby and can be reached by walking down the hallway behind the stairs: the “Women’s” restrooms are on the left side of the hallway; the “Men’s” restrooms are at the end of the hallway; both are wheelchair accessible. 

At MASI Lugano, the restrooms are located on the 2nd floor and the -1st floor, accessible via the escalators or the elevator.

Public restrooms are located at the corner between the former Hotel Palace and the LAC and are equipped with the Eurokey system.

The Theater Hall, the Teatrostudio, and Room 4 at the LAC are equipped with magnetic induction hearing assistance systems. Room 1, Room 2, Room 3, the Hall, the Refectory Hall, and the Chapter Hall are not equipped with this system.

The accessibility coordinator can provide more detailed information if necessary.

For some of the shows on the program, the LAC offers the opportunity to attend performances with audio description.

This service enhances the live performance experience by making the silent details of the production—such as costumes, lighting, set design, and the actors’ movements—accessible to blind and visually impaired audience members. Through wireless headphones connected to the control room, a narrator guides the audience through the unfolding of the performance. The audio description script, prepared in advance and read live, integrates with the play’s script without overlapping the dialogue or the soundtrack, adapting in real time to the pace of the performance.

In the Theater Hall, there are four seats available for people with disabilities. When making a reservation, ticket purchasers are asked to inform the box office or the accessibility coordinator if they will be using a wheelchair.

The LAC has two wheelchairs that are made available upon request to anyone who needs them.

Guide dogs, service dogs, and dogs for the blind are welcome at the LAC.
