Diplomacy September 5–10
From September 5 to 10, the LAC will open the Opera for Peace Academy masterclasses to the public. Six sessions offering a close-up look at the work of Gianluca Marcianò, Sondra Radvanovsky, Kamal Khan, Thomas Hampson, and Brian Jagde with ten young singers selected from around the world.
Opera for Peace is an international network that supports young opera talents, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. After Rome and Paris, the Academy is coming to Lugano for the first time with a week of coaching, rehearsals, and master classes. The program culminates on September 12 with the Gala Concert that opens the LAC season: the ten singers will perform in the Sala Teatro with the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, conducted by Kamal Khan.
