Stomp, the international theatre phenomenon that transforms everyday sounds into a spectacular show, returns to the LAC with its electrifying blend of percussion, dance, physical theatre and comedy.

An explosive and energetic show that turns the most ordinary objects into musical instruments, creating an irresistible soundtrack from the sounds of everyday life.
On stage, eight performers bring to life an engaging and surprising experience using whatever comes to hand: lighters, bins, lids, brooms, buckets and even sinks become the stars of a infectious rhythm capable of captivating audiences of all ages.
Created in 1991 in Brighton by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, Stomp made its hugely successful debut at the Edinburgh Festival before embarking on an extraordinary international adventure. Within a few years, it had conquered stages around the world, winning prestigious awards and establishing itself as one of the most original shows of recent decades.
From London to New York – where it ran for almost thirty years and over 11,000 performances – to the international tours that still span every continent today, Stomp continues to reinvent the language of live performance: a wordless, universal show capable of transforming everyday chaos into pure theatrical energy.
