Twenty years of music, hits and prestigious collaborations: Mario Biondi is celebrating the anniversary of This Is What You Are with a European tour that retraces the most significant milestones of his career. Released in 2004 and propelled to success by the renowned British DJ Norman Jay, who played it on the BBC, the track soon became a classic of contemporary soul-jazz. Featured on the 2006 album Handful of Soul, it marked the beginning of the Sicilian artist’s international breakthrough, paving the way for collaborations with music legends such as Burt Bacharach, Chaka Khan and Earth, Wind & Fire. To mark this milestone, Biondi has released a new version of his signature track, recorded with some of the leading figures on the global jazz scene, including Dennis Chambers, John Patitucci, Antonio Faraò and Till Brönner, as well as, in 2026, his first album entirely in Italian, Prova d’autore. Rounding off the 20th-anniversary celebrations – and exactly twenty years on from the Handful of Soul album project – is the recent Two Entities. With concerts in over fifty countries and a stylistic signature that blends elegance, expressive intensity and timeless sounds, Mario Biondi invites audiences to rediscover, live, the musical universe that has made him one of the most acclaimed Italian voices abroad.
