Do you dream of performing on the LAC stage alongside the musicians of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana? Take part in the second edition of “Io, tu e l’OSI,” the OSI’s major project, part of the “be connected” series and presented as part of the LAC edu program.
This initiative offers amateur musicians of all ages from throughout Italian-speaking Switzerland the opportunity to join the musicians of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana to form a large symphony orchestra. The ensemble will perform at the LAC on June 12 and 13, 2027, under the direction of Maestro Philippe Béran.
Those selected will have the chance to challenge themselves on a journey of musical and personal growth, sharing months of study, rehearsals, and the discovery of great music alongside the musicians of the OSI. The program will range from some of the most beautiful pieces in the classical repertoire to beloved soundtracks from cartoons and television series, as well as theme songs from the most famous video games.
We are seeking musicians of all instruments, from strings to winds, from woodwinds to percussion. Registration is open from Thursday, September 17, through Monday, October 19, 2026. Selection will take place by the end of November, based on the materials submitted at the time of registration. In December, selected participants will receive their respective parts and recordings of the pieces on the program so they can prepare for sectional and full orchestra rehearsals, which will begin in March 2027.
All details and information on how to participate are available on the website www.osi.swiss.
