This is not a film about Palestine's past, but about its future, which has yet to be written.

In the summer of 1982, the Israeli army invaded Beirut; it raided the Palestine Research Center and plundered its entire archive, which contained historical documents on Palestine, including a vast collection of images and footage. Building on this loss, A Fidai Film aims to create a counter-narrative, enacting a form of cinematic sabotage that seeks to reclaim the plundered memories of Palestinian history. What can we see, hear, and perhaps understand from the materials preserved in colonial archives, which document every possible aspect of a country reduced to fragments?
A moving reflection on identity, memory, and resistance, told through a unique combination of documentary and experimental techniques.
The screening serves as a preview of the Lugano Human Rights Film Festival.
