The traditional and overwhelming Christmas gospel concert is back: this year's star is the Spirit of New Orleans Gospel Choir, a spectacular group composed of some of the best musicians from the Baptist churches of Louisiana, the land where the heart of gospel music still beats strongly. The Spirit of New Orleans Gospel Choir was born from a musical project that brings together some of the most talented artists on the Louisiana gospel scene, inspired by a deep friendship and a desire to bring a message of hope, faith and sharing to the world. The group, consisting of 10/11 members, has the Joyful Gospel Singers at its core, around whom voices and musicians from famous local choirs gather.
Their strength lies in their live performances: explosive shows that transform every concert into a collective experience of energy and spirituality. Their powerful interpretations, overwhelming rhythm and warm voices have made them stars of successful tours throughout Europe, receiving critical acclaim.
Recognised with the prestigious “Grand Staff Award”, they boast collaborations with icons of soul and pop and stand out for the authenticity and passion with which they embody the great heritage of African-American gospel music.
