Il libro di tutte le cose invites every viewer to rediscover their deepest self, reawakening that space of freedom and creativity typical of childhood, which, if cultivated, can also give meaning to adult life.
Thomas is a child who lives between two worlds. In the first, fantastical and colourful, he feeds on vivid dreams, loves the most beautiful girl in the world – who in the eyes of others is “lame” and different – and has a little plant called Jesus as his friend. He is determined, with all his heart, to be happy. In the second, however, which is darker and more painful, he has to deal with a father who sometimes turns violent, plunging the family into despair and fear. But Thomas does not give up: through the pages of his diary, he tells us about his journey of growth, his courage to face reality, and the strength he finds within and outside himself to free himself and those he loves. Because only when you stop being afraid can you truly be happy.
