La Baracca Testoni Ragazzi – a theatre company that produces shows exclusively for children and teenagers – presents a work dedicated to children who are beginning to explore the idea of family based on their personal experiences.
In a place that could be a shop window, two characters set up the exhibition space. A non-verbal language connects them and, through their relationship, made up of glances and movements, the two construct little stories. The dressing of some mannequins gives rise to different situations with which the two actors play and interact, and which the viewer can recognise, interpret and freely interpret, making them their own. What is a family? Who is a family? Is a family having children? Is a family having a mum and a dad? Are grandparents part of the family? Does a family have to live in the same place? Can members of one family be part of other families? Do animals have families?
Famiglie is a show for children that encourages reflection and stimulates questions, without seeking to provide or influence answers.
