Ticino choreographer and dancer Lorena Dozio continues her exploration of the invisible with a poetic journey for young audiences: a dance performance for all ages that recounts the wonder of everyday life and the power of imagination through the enchanting rhythm of a ballad.
At the beginning, there is a school, a house and the path that connects them. But each step adds an element: an object, a character, a gesture. In the changing repetition, the audience is invited to explore, imagine and construct their own story.
Starting from abstract movement, Lorena Dozio choreographically explores repetition, a central element in child development, and transforms it into a danced narrative. The journey thus opens up to the evocation of figures from the world of fairy tales and traditional stories, amid unexpected encounters, discoveries and perhaps love.
Two dancers – almost a double – inhabit a visual space created with artist Cécile Meynier, to original music by drummer KingQ4. Inspired by Blexbolex's book Romance, the show reflects on the theme of the daily journey and its infinite capacity for transformation: what happens when we walk the same path every day, but with different eyes? Ballata – Attraversa il bosco, sali la scala e tocca il cielo is a dance made of images and possibilities, which ignites the wonder and imagination of young and old alike.
