The Ticino Musica Festival Orchestra, comprising young musicians selected through international auditions and led by the renowned conductor Lü Jia, (conductor of the China NCPA Orchestra), presents its second symphonic concert at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano, with a programme spanning three centuries of music, from Rossini’s theatrical verve to Brahms’s symphonic lyricism and the contemporary voice of Dieter Ammann, composer-in-residence at the Ticino Musica Festival, featuring soloist Diyang Mei, principal violist of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
