Listening to sounds that ‘float’ in the air and accompany Richard Paul Lohse's paintings in an imaginary dance: this is the evocative experience that the public can enjoy during the UBS Open Day.
For the occasion, the works of artist Richard Paul Lohse, with their geometric structures and modulated colours, are translated into music in an installation that transforms images into sound. Thanks to sonification by composer Nadir Vassena, Lohse's paintings are rendered into synthetic sound sequences, which create a continuous soundscape. At regular intervals, two cellists enrich this musical dimension with short live interventions, in an experience with unexpected and profound nuances.
