The enfant terrible of musicals, the legendary and transgressive Rocky Horror Show by Richard O’Brien, here directed by Broadway director Sam Buntrock, arrives at the LAC. An explosive show with a cast of international talents ready to rock out to the cry of Let's do the Time Warp again! Since its debut in 1973 in a small London theatre, it has become a worldwide phenomenon: a rock anthem to sexual freedom, gender fluidity and acceptance of diversity. In Lugano, the unforgettable soundtrack - with cult songs such as Sweet Transvestite, Damn it Janet and The Time Warp - will be played live by a five-piece band, while the narrator's voice will be that of Igor Horvat.

Sconto LAC+
Over a million fans have now been enthralled by Sam Buntrock's internationally acclaimed production - created under the personal supervision of creator Richard O'Brien. For his latest, technically modernised reworking, Buntrock was inspired even more consistently by cinematic means and once again emphasised the emotional side of the "coming of age" story.
No other musical in theatre history has been as euphorically celebrated and experienced by its audience as the Rocky Horror Show. The same applies to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, its legendary film adaptation, which was released in cinemas almost 50 years ago. As soon as the witty, shrill story about the young, square couple Brad Majors and Janet Weiss and the diabolical alien Dr Frank'n'Furter takes its course, the audience joins right in, without regard for good manners.
From the very beginning, the Rocky Horror Show was like nothing else: shortly after its premiere in London in 1973, it became a worldwide phenomenon. The influence it has had on drag shows, rock bands, theatre and the burlesque scene to this day is immeasurable. Sam Buntrock's celebrated production dares to take the "time warp" back to the roots - to B- movies, burlesque and glam rock - and touches the true heart of the Rocky Horror Show.
