Returning to the LAC to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day is Israeli singer Noa, one of her country’s most internationally acclaimed artists, known for her talent and the depth of the themes she deals with in her songs.

Her origins in Yemen, her years of training in the United States and her return to Israel at the age of 17, a country she loves and where she did two years’ military service, all contributed to the maturity of this artist with a melodious voice who blends rock, jazz and classical music into sounds that never fail to enchant audiences: impossible to forget the lyrics she wrote to the music of maestro Piovani, Beautiful that way, known in Italian as La vita è bella, leitmotif for Roberto Benigni’s Oscar winning film.
A passionate supporter of peace, Noa has taken her message to the world’s most prestigious stages, like Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, the White House and several times to the Vatican, performing with artists like Stevie Wonder, Sting, Andrea Bocelli and many others including Pat Metheny and Quincy Jones.
Speaking about herself Noa says: “I was trained in New York but I could never live away from Israel”. “Love is the source of my singing”.
Her caressing, modulated voice as well as her deeply human quality make Noa an appropriate witness to keep alive the Memory of the Shoah.
