Through the “suspended ticket” program, LAC visitors can help provide a cultural experience to individuals and families facing financial hardship.
The Origin of the Name
The project is inspired by the Neapolitan tradition of the “caffè sospeso”: when someone orders a coffee, they can pay for a second one, leaving it available for the next person who comes along and cannot afford it.
How It Works
You can make a donation when purchasing tickets online or at the LAC box office. The suggested amount is CHF 5, but you are free to choose any amount you wish to donate.
The LAC contributes to the initiative by providing tickets each season with a total value of CHF 10,000.
Who Receives the Tickets?
The tickets are distributed in collaboration with local organizations that support individuals and families facing financial hardship, including the Red Cross, Winter Relief, Pro Senectute, Tavolino Magico, and other partner organizations.
The performances are chosen based on the recipients’ needs to offer a meaningful experience that aligns with their interests.
Why Participate?
The “suspended ticket” initiative complements other accessibility initiatives promoted by the LAC. Every donation supports the cultural center’s commitment and helps extend this opportunity to a greater number of people. It’s a simple gesture that transforms cultural participation into a shared experience and strengthens the sense of community around the LAC.
