The 2026 season at MASI opens in spring with a solo exhibition by one of the leading figures of the contemporary Swiss art scene, Jean-Frédéric Schnyder, and a group show entitled "K-NOW! Korean Video Art Today”, which explores the art scene in South Korea through the medium of video art. One of the boldest, most original names in American contemporary art is also to the fore, with the first retrospective dedicated to Kaari Upson.

A global museum with local roots, which sees its collections and spaces as sources of inspiration to reinvent in ever new ways: this is the vision of our future director Letizia Ragaglia, and forms the basis for the autumn exhibition "Re-imaginings. Mai-Thu Perret and Una Szeemann in dialogue with the collections".

With a special in-depth focus on Boccioni, the exploration of the art history of Ticino and of the Museum’s collection will continue in 2026, while Palazzo Reali will host a new, site-specific project by the artist Kaspar Ludwig, winner of the 2026 Manor Cultural Prize Ticino.
