From November 27 to January 10, 2027, the square and the spaces of the cultural center will be transformed into a gathering place for young and old alike, featuring ice skating, a market, culinary offerings, movies, workshops, readings, and performances.
LAC Winter Village is part of “Natale in Piazza,” the City of Lugano’s traditional Christmas event.

Ice
Rink At the upper end of Piazza Luini, the new ice rink is the heart of LAC Winter Village. With free admission, it invites people of all ages to experience the magic of winter and will serve as a stage for performances and other events throughout the holiday season.

Market and Food
Court In the lower part of Piazza Luini, the market and food court invite you to take a break amid the Christmas lights and festive atmosphere—whether for lunch, an aperitif, or simply to spend time together.

Winter Lounge
Starting December 24, Room 1 of the LAC transforms into the Winter Lounge, a cozy space where you can take a break in the warmth. During the day, it’s a space for all ages, with an area dedicated to free play; in the evening, it comes alive and becomes a gathering place where you can stop for a drink with friends.

Opening
LAC Winter Village opens on Friday, November 27, at 5:30 p.m. with a free performance by the Lugano Skating Club. The club’s elite skaters will inaugurate the rink with *Geometria delle emozioni* (Geometry of Emotions), a performance that blends technique, expressiveness, and originality.

Program
On-ice performances, movies for children and teens, workshops, readings, and other initiatives will accompany LAC Winter Village throughout the holiday season.
