During that time of year when the nights are longest, the installation Alley of Light, will be illuminating the LAC square. By just taking a few steps down the narrow passageway, created by thousands of lights, you will take part in a unique spatial experience.
Alley of Light is a space not much wider than a corridor, twelve metres long and four metres high, surrounded by two thousand handmade lights that form a surprising three dimensional matrix.
Using an algorithm that regulates the intensity of the individual lights, the passage constantly lights up or darkens, creating a luminous choreography that was inspired by light’s wavelike nature filtered by water and that immerses participants in an evocative experience.
