From April 25 to August 1, 2021, for the first time in Europe, MASI Lugano presents an important part of the Thomas Walther Collection from The Museum of Modern Art in New York. This unique selection of over two hundred masterpieces of photography from the first half of the 20th century reveals how photographers active in those decades repeatedly broke through the boundaries of photographic expression. It is thanks to their radical experiments and unbridled creativity that photography has become the most important means of visual expression today.
